Our Story

Meet The Silvas

Jeff and Angela Silva didn't just buy a coffee shop; they rescued their favorite one. Long-time regulars and genuine friends of the original Hotwire crew, they jumped at the chance to take over when it came up for sale in 2016. Best decision ever? We think so.

Jeff is a Rochester, MA native who made his way to Seattle in 1992 and never looked back. He's put down roots through music, family, and a knack for smart investments — including quietly building a small coffee-and-baked-goods empire (aka, Hotwire Coffeehouse). Jeff volunteers as the Treasurer for the West Seattle Junction Association and is currently in school getting his Master’s in Physics.

Angela is a true West Seattle original: Schmitz Park Elementary, Madison Middle, West Seattle High, all the way through to a business degree from the UW Foster School. Before Hotwire, she was one of the founding team members at a scrappy little real estate startup called Redfin.

They’re proud parents to August and Samantha, the latter currently working as your friendly Hotwire barista.
