YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD COFFEE SHOP

Hotwire Coffeehouse is West Seattle’s oldest independent coffee shop in the heart of the West Seattle Junction.

Since 2002, we’ve been serving the community with locally roasted coffee, fresh pastries, and hot breakfast items in a laid-back setting.

Our mission? Friendly neighborhood vibes where everybody knows your name… and your dog’s name.

OUR HISTORY

originally built as a 1910 “CARRIAGE HOUSE”

Hotwire Coffeehouse is a part of West Seattle history, located in a charming brick building that dates all the way back to 1910.

It originally served as a carriage house for Seattle Lighting & Gas, aka, a parking spot for the horse-drawn carriage. The space has evolved into one of the area’s most welcoming and community-driven cafés. Our mission has always been simple: to serve excellent coffee while creating an environment that brings people together.

With over two decades of service, we are more than just a coffee shop. We are a gathering place, a workspace, and a cornerstone of local culture. From the West Seattle Garage Sale to Summerfest to the West Seattle Farmer’s Market, our customers return time and again, not just for the quality of our drinks but also for the sense of belonging they find within our walls.
