Hotwire Online Coffeehouse, in conjunction with the Shoreline YMCA’s Hang Time program, hosted a very special silent auction to support our area middle-school students this past Saturday, March 26th.   Thanks to our many donors and the generous support of our customers and friends, we raised over $2000 for the Hang Time Program!!!  If you missed the auction, you still have an opportunity to support Hang-Time - come in and check out our bulletin board for a few items that are still going at a "Buy Now" price.  Great deals!

What is Hang Time?

Hang Time is an after-school program that provides safe, drug-free activities for students at Kellogg Middle School in Shoreline.  The goal at Hang Time is to promote the growth of social and academic skills, creativity, and self–esteem.  Programs at Hang Time include tutoring, sports, community service, and cooking.  They currently serve over one hundred students a day.  It is a collaboration between the Shoreline YMCA, Kellogg Middle School, Shoreline Teen Programs and the City of Lake Forest Park.  Unfortunately federal funding for the program has expired and the future of the program is in jeopardy.
